About Socrait

Socrait is a seed-stage, AI-first, well-funded, stealth-mode startup in the education technology space. Our initial product offering focuses on saving educators’ time and improving student learning experiences and outcomes.

About the role

This is a rare, ground-level opportunity to build a zero-to-one product from scratch. In a given week you’ll work across all of: mobile and web applications, backend systems, and cloud services in a brand-new and modern codebase. Ability to ramp up quickly and work comfortably up and down the stack is critical. You’ll work alongside a small, passionate, and high-functioning team, with a chance to interact directly with customers and collaborate hand-in-hand with product and business leaders.

Candidate qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Authorization to work in the US.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience building production-scale software including web, mobile, and backend services.
• Experience with the full end-to-end software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, release, monitoring, and iterating.
• Excellent proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and SQL.
• Extensive experience building interactive user interfaces in React and/or React Native.

Preferred experience:

• Experience deploying production services on Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience integrating with school IT systems (SIS, LMS, etc.) or with middleware services like Clever or Ednition.
• Experience setting up CI/CD build and deployment pipelines on GitLab or GitHub.
• Experience integrating with federated identity providers for Single-Sign On (SSO).
